Headlight associates removal

Has anyone removed a headlight

assembly

withal?

If so, how large a deal is this?

I’ve got the height shroud off, and the shroud strip over the fender off, but can’t see what’s underneath the light.

I’m giving serious thought to having my lights modded to HID projectors (I will start some other thread about this, but outset-things-first).

Try here.

Only scroll down to mail#21 and follow the link.

Look in the Repair manual, it has a section for headlamp removal. Looks pretty straight forward.

Unfortunately ,yous take to take the forepart bumper encompass off first to remove the front headlight assembly off.
First ,unplug the elec. connector. Then there are iii bolts and it slides into an alignment bracket off the subframe on the bottom.

The iii bolts as pictured on the drivers side.

I wish I would document my projects equally well as harper7 does. I might start and end with a lot of pics but I forget during the project sometimes.

Talking
Replacing fourth Gen Headlight Assembly

And so, I’ve been researching online for a good replacement for my headlight assemblies on my 05. At that place is a ton of back and forth in regard to getting a true Toyota assembly or going after market. Tin can anyone direct more than specifically to why I would become one way or the other? I know Toyota charges around $200 per assembly and I tin get after market place for around $60-100. Any advice would exist greatly appreciated. I’ve tried the restoration, but only lasts 6 months or so. I now have cracks forming on the current assemblies. Looking to practice the work myself as well. Thank you in advance!

headlight associates replacement

I had to remove the forepart bumper in guild to get to all of the mounting bolts.
I institute a neat video on YouTube and it was simpler than I thought.

This sounds complicated, but really the whole process of replacing the headlight assembly, took about an hour.
Given that information technology was my start time, I know I could do it quicker in the future.
I replaced my associates because condensation was getting into it.
Now I demand to properly aim it since I am using HID bulbs.
